Operation Paws for Homes

OPH is a 501(c)(3) organization funded by private donations, grants and adoption fees. Our work is possible because of the dedication of our incredible adopters, fosters, donors, and volunteers. Since 2010, OPH has rescued over 12,000 dogs and cats, transporting them to safety in volunteer foster homes throughout Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, and southern PA, and matching them with loving adopters. In addition to hands-on, life-saving activities, OPH supports the communities from which it rescues animals, donating thousands of pounds of critical supplies to partner shelters, and sponsoring spay and neuter procedures for pets in underserved communities.

$5 from each Metal Rescue sold this month goes to support Operation Paws for Homes!

“Our organization is volunteer-powered by a dedicated group of animal lovers who have seen the horrors and sad fate of animals who find themselves abandoned and left to fend for themselves in the world. OPH does not operate a shelter or have a physical location. We rely on foster families who open their homes to give love and attention to each animal while we find a forever home. We believe in responsible adoptions and strive to work with each adopter to find a good match for their home and lifestyle. Our goal is to offer a second chance to dogs and cats abandoned in shelters and out of time. We are fortunate to have some wonderful and active volunteers who help OPH find forever homes for over 1,000 dogs and cats a year.”
